Atypical Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides farm-based developmental programs for adults and children with cognitive disabilities. 

 

Atypical Place delivers programs and activities that use Trabia's gardens, orchards, and animal facilities to help special children and adults learn farm-based skills that can lead to job opportunities, build self-confidence, and increase independence. In the process of learning, participants have fun and return value to their communities through donations of farm products to food banks and to others in need.

 

Atypical Place relies on volunteers and donations to deliver its programs. By teaming with local school districts, other non-profits, community organizations, and local colleges, we  create mutually beneficial partnerships to better serve our program participants and our communities.
